Business development Coordinator
Michel enjoyed a successful career for more than 40 years as the majority shareholder and CEO of Charlebois Trépanier, a prominent insurance brokerage in Gatineau and Ottawa.
Michel thought he was going to ease into retirement when he sold the company, but after a few months he accepted a challenge presented to him by Brigil Construction’s, a significant builder in Ottawa and Gatineau to become vice-president of sales and marketing. He completed his mandate and was eager for a new challenge and has accepted to join his brother Paul.
Since 2003, he has also worked intensively as a professional sales coach and started his own coaching business, Groupe InterNotions, where he coaches his techniques in Canada and the United States. For close to 50 years, Michel has been involved in philanthropy in the national capital. He was co-chairman of the group that brought the Francophones Games to Ottawa in 2001. Throughout his career, he was involved in community service and fundraising, earning him industry and chamber of commerce awards. He has dialed back his involvement but remains a board member of the recently rechristened Ottawa Gatineau Youth Foundation, which used to be known as the Ottawa Senators, Foundation.
